Catalyst for Awareness

On May 13th, 2023, our Foundation orchestrated a mesmerizing Benefit Concert at Borgo Egnazia in Fasano, Apulia, marking a significant step in our commitment to the cultural and heritage protection of this region. Ms. Jiang, our foundation’s President, spearheaded this initiative, passionately driven by her love for Italy and concern over the devastating impact of the Xylella fastidiosa plant bacterium on Apulia’s monumental olive trees.

In collaboration with esteemed partners, including the Save the Olives Foundation, Dame Helen Mirren, Borgo Egnazia, and Steinway & Sons, our short-term goal focused on urgently saving the highly endangered ancient olive trees. The event showcased outstanding Steinway artists Francesco Parrino and Hershey Felder as well as several important speakers who illuminated the importance of early grafting and garnered support nationally and internationally.

Looking to the future, our long-term vision involves not only preserving Apulia’s treasures but also sustainably highlighting Apulia’s rich nature, artisans, products, and biodiversity. The Benefit Concert served as a catalyst for awareness, uniting like-minded individuals to contribute to the conservation of Apulia’s cultural and natural heritage.

With partners passionately involved, the Benefit Concert exemplified the power of collaboration and collective action, marking a pivotal moment in our journey to safeguard Apulia’s legacy – for Italy and the world.
